Heroku is looking for technology sales professionals with a proven track record of exceeding quota in Technology & Platform sales. The Heroku Account Executive (AE) focuses exclusively on the Cloud application platform, Heroku and requires a unique combination of sales and technical expertise. Your Impact and Responsibilities:- Formulate and execute a sales strategy within an assigned region- Drive revenue growth by penetrating the current customer base, and develop new customers in the region. - Work in partnership with the existing account-owning Salesforce Account Executives (AEs) and Platform AEs along with sales leadership in the regions, - Carry quota for the Heroku Platform product sales in their region- Provide hands on demonstrations and presentations of the Heroku PaaS capabilities- Effectively partner with Salesforce AEs and Platform AEs through:- Participating and leading client and prospect meetings - Engaging other corporate resources as required- Participating in regional forecast calls and account planning sessions- Accurately forecasting Heroku sales activity and revenue - Creating satisfied and reference-able customers - Enable Core Salesforce AE’s, management and Overlays on the Heroku PaaS- Demonstrate Heroku capabilities to prospects and customers- Develop and execute successful Heroku Platform sales campaigns- Create new leads from strategic prospecting efforts- Qualify leads & sales opportunities- Leverage business from new & established relationships- Update forecast and opportunities daily in Salesforce.com Basic Requirements:- 10 years of experience with selling software technology solutions- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand architecture, frameworks and open source languages- Track record of being a top producer- Appetite for success and willing to work on a team to reach goalsPreferred Requirements:- Background in technology and platform solutions such as application development, database, business intelligence, integration- Basic understanding of open source application development- Comfortable demonstrating from a GUI interface- Demonstrated ability to sell large scale and complex systems to key accounts- Consistent overachievement of goals- Good written, verbal, and presentation skills- Be creative with strong problem solving skills and the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment- Experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, application development- Experience using Salesforce.com- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience Salesforce, the Customer Success Platform and world's #1 CRM, empowers companies to connect with their customers in a whole new way.
